My Story

Sally is the creative mind behind Mighty Blooms and is a multi-faceted artist living in North London.

Having grown up in the home counties amongst the wonderful trappings of nature - the long hot summers and snow-filled winter wonderlands - the frivolity and innocence of the 80's, and a wealth of multi-cultural influences and trends in the shape of friends, music, art and film. Sally is passionate about environmental issues, social challenges and everyday injustices. She's a staunch advocate for positive change and it's her aim to create thought-provoking "satirical" art with a serious message" that captures and highlights the very essence of humanitarian and environmental struggles across the globe.

Sally has dabbled with a variety of art techniques and mixed media since the age of 3. Having continually scored A's and B's for her often "quirky" offerings at school and achieving A+ art at A level, her passions have always lain at the feet of the creative world - she sings too! Upon moving to South London in 1995, Sally attended Southbank College to achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Art and Design, exploring materials, processes and techniques to develop her creativity and expression. She concentrated on family in 1998 having had her son Alex and in 2008, her daughter Bella. In the Spring of 2023, Sally completed an illustration course at City Lit to further enhance her abilities as an artist. She then went on to release her first therapeutic Art Book - Pavement Art, from the Streets of London in November 2024.

Sally's goal is for her creations to be accessible to everyone and is initially supplying her art in printable format with a move towards tangible products over the next to 2 years and beyond. Her subject matter includes: the collapse of nature and the eco-system, empowering young people, motherhood, menopause, racism, the spirit of community, animal rights and much more.
